Ascent Legal may use artificial intelligence and other automated technology to assist with preliminary website intake. These tools are used only to collect and organize limited information submitted by prospective clients and to help our legal team review inquiries.
The AI-assisted intake tool is not a lawyer, does not provide legal advice, does not evaluate the merits or value of a matter, and does not determine whether Ascent Legal will accept a representation. All legal judgments, conflict determinations, and decisions regarding representation are made by attorneys.
Information submitted through the AI-assisted intake tool may be processed by third-party technology service providers that support the operation, hosting, transmission, security, or analysis of the intake system. We seek to use service providers and settings designed to provide reasonable confidentiality, security, and data-protection safeguards.
Because no attorney-client relationship is created by using the website or intake tool, users should provide only the information reasonably necessary for preliminary review and should not submit Social Security numbers, financial account information, passwords, medical records, or other highly sensitive or unnecessary confidential information.
Information submitted by a prospective client may be subject to legal and professional obligations applicable to prospective-client communications. Submission of information does not mean that Ascent Legal has agreed to represent you, and no attorney-client relationship is formed unless and until the firm confirms the representation and the parties enter into a written engagement agreement.
